Answer:

Basically, you calculate your ratio and find what its is, but after that, you have to simplify it, giving you 4.

Answer:

C. 25/4

Explanation:

Remember to calculate the slope you jus have to use the nect formula:

slope=(y^(2)- y^(1) )/(x^(2) -x^(1) )

So you just firs pick your two points on each segment, to make it easier we would select in both segments the inital and final point:

BE= (3,0)(4,5)

AE=(0,0)(4,5)

So to calculate the slope of BE we just put the values into the formula:

slope=(y^(2)- y^(1) )/(x^(2) -x^(1) )

slope=(5-0)/(4-3)

slope=(5)/(1)

slope=5

So to calculate the slope of AE we just put the values into the formula:

slope=(y^(2)- y^(1) )/(x^(2) -x^(1) )

slope=(5-0)/(4-0)

slope=(5)/(4)

So now that you have both slope you just make the division:

(slopeBE)/(slopeAE)

(5)/((4)/(5))

(25)/(4)

So the answer to the problem would be
(25)/(4)
