Using the place value chart we can see that the decimal 0.6 is six-tenths, so we can write 0.6 as the fraction 6/10. Notice however that 6/10 is not in lowest terms so we need to divide both the numerator and denominator by the greatest common factor of 6 and 10 which is 2.

Answer:

6/10 ; 3/5 (simplified form)

Explanation:

To solve, note the decimal place value. Move the decimal point to the right two place values, and set it over 100

0.6 = 60/100

Simplify the fraction. Divide common factors from the numerator & denominator (20 in this case)

(60/100)/(20/20) = 3/5

3/5 is your answer
