The long-term effect after the U.S. decision of dropping the two atomic bombs can be definitely considered the acceptance of the Three Non-Nuclear Principles. It was a decision taken by Japan and it does not allow possessing, manufacturing or introducing any nuclear weapons in such territory. Such three principles were not be formally adopted until 1971.
