So the 4 dollar is 20% of the original price of the dog food . Lets have x be the original price of the dog food

4=x*.20

So we need to get x alone so we need to divide both sides by .20

4/.20=(x*.20)/.20

The two .20s on the side with the x cancel each other out so we can remove those

4/.20=x

now just divide 4/.20

20=x

So the original price is $20
