Explanation:

A property of a parallelogram is opposite sides are equal and parallel.

Hence BC = AD ← opposite sides, thus

3x - 1 = 2x + 2 ( subtract 2x from both sides )

x - 1 = 2 ( add 1 to both sides )

x = 3
