For which valies of A, B, and C will Ax + By = C be a horozontal line through the point (-4, 2)?

Answer: B=1, C=2 and A =0.

Explanation:

On a coordinate plane , a horizontal line is parallel to x-axis with 0 slope(m) .

Every horizontal line is written as y=c [∵ y= mx+c , here m=0 ]

Here value for x changes but values for y is fixed as c.

If the horizontal line passes through (-4,2), so for some point x= -4 and y=2.

So, Equation of line must be y=2, which can be written as (0)x+(1)y =2

By comparing this to Ax + By = C, we get B=1, C=2 and A =0
