For example, if a rectangle has a length l = 15 m and breadth w = 10 m

Then,

The perimeter of rectangle = lenght l + breadth w + length l + breadth

= l + w + l + w

= 2l + 2w

= 2(15) + 2(10)

= 30 + 20

= 50 m

The area of the rectangle = l × w

= 15 × 10

= 150 m²
