Given :

A car slows down from -27.7 m/s to -10.9 m/s while undergoing a displacement of -105 m.

To Find :

The acceleration of the car.

Solution :

We know, by equation of motion :

2as = v^2 -u^2\\\\a = (v^2 -u^2 )/(2s)\\\\a = ((-10.9)^2 - ( -27.7)^2)/(2* ( -105 ))\\\\a = 3.088\ m/s^2

Therefore, acceleration of the car is 3.088 m/s².
