I'd say metals are an example of a thermal conductor. This is because the electrons in metals freely move electrons which can be transferred into thermal energy very quickly and easily.

Metal radiator. When hot water flows through the coils of the radiator , the metal heats up quickly by conduction and then radiates thermal energy into the surrounding air.
