Function 1:

m = (9-4)/(-3+1)

m = -5/2

Function 2:

m = (4-0)/(0+1)

m = 4/1

b. Function 2 has the greater rate of change.

If you graph both of those functions they will cross each other and where they cross is the price of each item. The w value will be the waffle at $0.75 and the g value will be the grand slam at $4.50.
