Thought Question. This part of the First Amendment is about religion. It says

that there will be no national religion. It also says that people can believe in any religion
they want, or believe in no religion.
Do you think this means that public schools can't have any religious activities? Why
do you think this? Write a paragraph.

Answer:

I would say no just because it says public school and it public school is not really National and it says anybody could believe in any type of religion and you know having the religion activities also means believing in your own religion it's just another way of expressing it so it's giving you a choice so I would say no if I'm wrong I'm so sorry

In my opinion I feel like it’s okay for schools to have religious activities because they wanna express and celebrate religious traditions such as Christmas or Hanukkah which a majority of the U.S people are either Christian or Jewish, and as long as they are not pressuring anyone with these religious activities it’s completely okay and harmless. I feel like this is what the first amendment is about and it’s all about acceptance and expressing and being proud of your religion and one point in time it was a big reason as to people came down from Europe to the Americans in search of that religious freedom.
