X= undefined or 0
10(x+4)-3=14x+1
10x+4-3=14x+1
Bring over the 3 and 4 beside the 1 like so
10x=14x+1+3-4
Then take 14x and bring it over to the left where it becomes a negative
-14x+10x=1+3-4
-4x=0
The specific answer is undefined but when you divide it looks like this
-4/0 / meaning division

Answer:

x = 9

Explanation:

10(x + 4) – 3 = 14x + 1

10x + 40 - 3 = 14x + 1

40 - 3 - 1 = 14x - 10x

36 = 4x

x = 36/4

x = 9
