M∠DFG=(2x+6)° and m∠EFG=(3x−11)°. Find the value of x.

Answer:

x = 37

Explanation:

A straight angle is 180 degrees. That means ∠DFG & ∠EFG have to add together to be 180.

2x + 6 + 3x - 11 = 180 Combine like terms

5x - 5 = 180 Add 5 to both sides

5x = 185 Divide by 5

x = 37

∠DFG = 80°

∠EFG = 100°
