Please help me answer!!

Rewrite the sentence to correct the error--either a misplaced modifier, a squinting modifier, a dangling modifier, or an instance of faulty parallelism.

(I believe that the sentence is a squinting modifier I just need help rewriting the sentence.)

I believe it’s “The general told his orderly he could go on leave before the battle.” Or, it could be “Before the battle, the general told his orderly he could go on leave.” Hope this helps
