Explanation:

In order to solve we need two points from the line, first to find the slope using the slope formula. The formula is:

m= (y2-y1)/(x2-x1) Where the coordinates are: (x1,y1) and (x2,y2)

One of the points is (-2,-1), and looking at the graph we can see another point on the line would be (-3,1).

Now we have to subsitute the points (-2,-1) and (-3,1) to find the slope of the line.

(1-(-1))/(-3-(-2))=2/-1=-2 so the slope or m =-2

Now we can put this into the formula.

y=mx+b m=slope; b=y-intercept

m=-2 so

y=-2x+b

Now b is the y-intercept, according to the graph it is (0,-5)

so the y variable is -5.

We can put this into the formula too now

y=-2x-5 is our final answer, and is the equation of the line.
