PLEASE HELP ME I NEED HELP

2x + 6y= 12
X + 3y= 6

In solving the system of equations shown above, Sean showed the following steps:
Step 1: x = 6 – 3y
Step 2: 2(6-3y) + 6y = 12
Step 3: 12 – 6y + 6y = 12
Step 4: 12 = 12
Sean’s work is correct. However, there are no variables in Sean’s final step. What can he state as the solution of the system?

Answer:

3x + 6y=12

Explanation:

For every letter there's a 1 for every letter in that problem so that means x=1 and y=1 and that's how sean got 12
