Answer: Technically most food originally comes from photosynthesis. Through photosynthesis plants convert carbon dioxide and water into glucose molecules (among other products) using energy from sunlight. Your cells obtain glucose from your body eating foods containing the molecule. Your cells then use glucose by converting it, through cellular respiration, into ATP, which your cells use to fuel various processes.
