These type of questions is basically asking you to replace x with 2. f(x) is the same thing as y = but inside the f(x) is the value of x. So in this case, the numerical value of x is 2. All we need to do is replace x with it's numerical value, 2, and solve the equation.


y=7(2-2) + 4(2+1)\\y=7(0) + 4(3)\\y = 12
