HELP ME PLS I'm trying to pass Algebra 1 with A or my parents will be disappointed.

1. Adelle solved the equation 4x/7 - 6 = -20 as shown.
Fill in the correct justification for each step.

Step: Justification:
4x/7 - 6 = -20 Given
4x/7 = -14 ______
4x = -98 ______
x = -24.5 ______

2. Graph 4x + y = 6x - 1
SHOW YOUR WORK and explain the method used to determine the graph.

3. Dr. Silas studies a culture of bacteria under a microscope. The function b_1 (t) = 1200(1.8)^t represents the number of bacteria t hours after Dr. Silas begins her study.

What does the value 1200 represent in this situation?
What does the value 1.8 represent in this situation?
The number of bacteria in a second study is modeled by the function b_2 (t) = 1000(1.8)^t
What does the value of 1000 represent in this situation?
What does the difference of 1200 and 1000 mean between the two studies?

Answer:

1. Step: Justification:

4x/7 - 6 = -20 Given.

4x/7 = -14 4x/7 = 26

4x = -98 7/4 * 4x/7 = 7/4 * 26

x = -24.5 x = 91/2 or 45.5

2. Graph 4x + y = 6x -1

4x + y = 6x – 1

y = 6x – 1 – 4x

y = 2x – 1

Slope = x

Y-intercept = (0,-1)

Attached photo below is the following graph. (Make sure you attach the graph to question 2 or you won't get credit).

3. (A) 1200 is the initial population of the bacterial population.

(B) 1.8 represents the rate at which the count of bacteria increases each hour.

(C) 1000 represents the initial number of bacteria in the 2nd study based on the exponential growth function f(x) = a (1 + r)^x 1000 = a in this function.

The difference between 1200 and 1000 is the difference between the two initial counts in the two studies.
