Answer:

Option B ( -8 and -3 )

Explanation:

Rewrite the equation as follows:

x^2+11x+24=0

Now we can use two methods either the quadratic formula or the factorization method.

Lets use the factorization method.

We need two number when multiplied gives us +24 and when added up give us +11 .

Now we know 12 and 2 when multiplied give us 24 but when added give us 14 so we cant use these two numbers.

But we know 8 and 3 when multiplied give us 24 and when added give us 11 so we can use them , so rewrite the equation like,

Answer:

-8 and -3

Explanation:

x^(2) +24=-11x

Add 11x to both sides;

x^(2) +11x+24=0\\\\(x+3)(x+8)=0

x + 3 = 0

Subtract 3 from both sides;

x = -3

x + 8 = 0

Subtract 8 from both sides;

x = -8
