We don't have an actual equation for y=f(x). But I can write one that includes (8.15) and then make the changes as requested. The resulting new lines are shown for each:

A. y = f(x+5).

B. y = f(x) + 5.

Coordinates of a point for x=8 may be found on both lines.

For A: (8,25)

For B: (8,20)
