The rating scale questions present a scale of answer alternatives from any range (1 to 10, 0 to 100, etc.). The respondent chooses the number that best describes their answer. Forced choice is a question response structure that forces respondents to make judgements about each response option by requiring them to choose an answer (such as yes or no).
