Solve for v

5+4v=-23

You would flip the equation so it would be..

4v= -23-5

Then add 5 from both sides

4v= -28

Divide by 4

V=-7

v = -7

All we need to do is get the variable on one side of the equation and simplify:

5 + 4v = -23

4v = -28

v = -7
