Ming and Lisa each improved their yards by planting daylilies and ornamental grass. They bought their supplies from the same store. Ming spent $59 on 3 daylilies and 8 bunches of ornamental grass. Lisa spent $77 on 5 daylilies and 8 bunches of ornamental grass. Find the cost of one daylily and the cost of one bunch of ornamental grass.

Answer:

Explanation:

If the cost of 1 day lilies is 9 and the cost of bunch is 4

So ming spent = 3 x 9 + 4 x 8 = 59

Lisa spent = 5 x 9 + 4 x 8 = 77

So the cost of 1 day lilies is 9$ and 1 bunch is 4$
