I have two questions and I don't have enough points for separate questions so...

1. What conditions do we need to see a new moon?

2. Explain what a “gibbous” moon and “crescent” moon are in full sentences.

Thanks if you answer!!

Answer:

The moon and the sun Have to have the same longitude then the daylight outshines the earthlight that dimly illuminates the new moon

Step-by-step explanation:

A gibous moon is any moon that appears more than half lighted but less then full. A crescent moon is a moon that appears to be a crescent shape or a symbol used to represent a phase in the first quarter Hope this helped!

A new moon is when the moon is fully in the Earth’s shadow ( It makes everything dark)

The gibbous moon is when the moon is mostly visible and only a small banana like shape is missing. the crescent is the opposite where it is mostly dark and a small sliver is visible.
