Explanation:

this is a ratio, and ratios always have to be constant meaning there is a pattern. for 15 meters to become 5 what must happen? dividing by 3.

1:5 ?:15 you dont know the ? but you do know what it becomes after divided by 3. so multiply 1 by 3 to do the reverse.

Answer: 3 cm

Work Shown:

(1 cm)/(5 m) = (x cm)/(15 m)

1/5 = x/15

1*15 = 5*x ... cross multiply

15 = 5x

5x = 15

x = 15/5

x = 3

The model is 3 cm tall.
