I am writing to you to ask of something that is high demand of the volleyball team, the organisation of an inter-house volleyball tournament in our school. Enclosed in this letter are the reasons this would greatly boost the playing of volleyball in our school.
The volleyball team has spent all year training with our coach to win the national volleyball competition in schools, but it really isn't enough. Last meeting, a vote was held that more competition would be healthy for the team and motivates the team to work harder in practice. An inter-house tournament would give us something to work towards instead of waiting until the next season.
Volleyball is a hugely underrated sport in this school, with reserves desperately needed next season in matches. What better way to introduce new players by hosting an inter-house tournament? This way, students can have a go for fun and if they want to, they may want to join the team afterwards. Introducing them to volleyball is also a good way to improve the school's athletic reputation.
