Detailed Answer:

The Standard Form of a Linear Equation in 2 Variables :-

• ax + by + c = 0
• Where ‘a’ is the coefficient of x, ‘b’ is the coefficient of y and ‘c’ is a constant term.

Therefore,
5x = y - 14
5x - y = -14
=> 5x - y + 14 = 0

This is the equation in Standard Form.

• 5x - y + 14 = 0
• a = 5
• b = -1
• c = 14
