A map is drawn to a scale of 2 cm = 25 km. If two points are

7.4 cm apart on the map, what is the actual distance between
them?

92.5km

Explanation:

By cross multiplication you will get 2x=7.4x25.(cross multiply map scale = 2cm and 7.4 put them under each other and for the actual distance it's 25 km and X cross multiply and that's how u get 2x=7.4*25) now u will multiply 7.4*25 u will get 185 and then divide by 2 on each side so the x is left alone (2x/2=185/2) which will give you x=92.5km.
