If c is the y- intercept then its coordinates are (0, c )

Given an equation to find the y- intercept, let x = 0 in the equation and solve for y ( the y- intercept )

The equation of a line in slope- intercept form is

y = mx + c ( m is the slope and c the y- intercept )

Given 2 points, calculate m using the slope formula, then obtain the equation using either of the 2 points. The y- intercept is then the value of c
