How much does each box weigh?

x = one of the box
x + 4 = second both
38 = total weight(pounds)
Now combine them
x + x + 4 = 38
2x = 34, x = 17
17 + 4 = 21 (second box)
One box weights 17 pounds and the other weighs 21 pounds
