i think the dividend is 96 and 4 is the divisor, making 24 the quotient (answer). 4 goes into 9 twice, so write a 2 on top. then multiply 4 and 2 to get 8 and subtract it from 9 to get 1. bring down the 6 so now it’s 4/16, which is 4.

In order to divide 96 by 4 we got a first find a number that when multiplied by four gives you nine or the closest number to nine, so our divisor would be 2 because 2×4 = 8. Substract 9-8 and you will get one as your
remainder, bring down the 6 and you have 16, because four times four gives you 16, that is our divisor (4). Now, there are no reminders. Our quotient is 24.
