How do you indicate that a decimal will be repeated infinitely?

Answer:

if it is a patern or the same number that is repeated you put a line over the part that is repeated for instance 1.6666666 would just be 1.6 but the 6 would have a line that looks like this ___.

Answer: To show an infinite decimal, we write "..." at the end. This is also good for when you get bored writing all the digits of a lengthy finite decimal, or when your pen is running out of ink. Another way to write an infinite decimal with a repeating pattern is to draw a bar over the part that repeats.
