Answer:

Larger number = 32

Explanation:

Smaller number = x

Larger number = y

y - x = 8 -----------(I)

3y = 4x ---------------(II)

3y/4 = x

Plug in x = 3y/4 in equation (I)


y - (3)/(4)y = 8\\\\(4)/(4)y - (3)/(4)y = 8\\\\(1)/(4)y = 8\\

y = 8*4

y = 32

Plug in y = 32 in equation (II)

3y = 4x

3*32 = 4x

4x = 3*32

x =
(3*32)/(4)

x = 3 *8

x = 24
