Answer:
\textsf{-3/10}

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Given:
\textsf{Points (-4, 5) and (6, 2)}

Find:
\textsf{Slope of the line that goes between the points}

Solution: In order to determine the slope of a line we need to follow the slope formula to determine it. Just plug in the values and simplify.

Plug in the values

  • m = (y_2 - y_1)/(x_2 - x_1)

  • m = (2 - 5)/(6 - (-4))

Simplify the expression

  • m = (-3)/(6 + 4)

  • m = -(3)/(10)

Using those two points we were able to determine that the slope of the line that goes through the points is -3/10.
