For me, "tolerance" is the ability to be open-minded without harsh judgment when it comes to the viewpoint of others. It goes hand-in-hand with patience. One can never become tolerant without enduring things.

Yes, I think I'm a tolerant person because I don't immediately jump to conclusions when a person opens up about his frank opinion on a specific subject matter–even if that person is against my opinion. I like listening to varying opinions of others because I learn from them. I live in a society where I need to socialize every day, thus, it is important for me to know how other people think and how to work things harmoniously without the need to prove myself all the time.
