Hey kids! My name is Mrs. Jane, and we'll talk about why we should brush our teeth after meals! I know it seems boring, but what if, doing this could get people closer to you? Think about it! More friends, more people to help you, and a really nice smelling breath! But, what happens? Well, your teeth are left sparkly clean, without any worries about cavities! Cavities are permanently damaged areas in the hard surface of your teeth that develop into tiny openings or holes. Cavities, also called tooth decay or caries, are caused by a combination of nasty things, like bacteria in your mouth, unhealthy snacking, and/or drinking a ton of sugary drinks, like some Pepsi or your juice box! Brushing your teeth keeps your teeth away from those things, and cavities are just one of them. A lot of nasty bacteria in your mouth from eating can cause a stomach ache, and cause you to feel sick. You don't want to miss school without your friends do you? Well, just brushing your teeth after every meal can keep this in shape. Eating healthy also decreases the effects, but you still need to clean them! You don't know what might be lurking in those green things!
Alright class, remember, next time you smell your friends' stanky breath, tell them to start brushing their teeth, or bad things might happen! (including loosing you as a friend!) Bye class! And have a great weekend!
