If you see a large"4/4" at the begining of a piece of music, what can you conclude

You know that the beats per measure is four beats per measure, this is called the “Time Signature.” It tells you what each note value is. So a quarter note is 1 beat.

based off that time signature you know that it is going to be in "common time" which is 4 beats in each measure
