Answer:

x = 15, y = 38

Explanation:

2sides of the triangle are congruent, thus triangle is isosceles.

The 2 base angles are therefore congruent and since right isosceles triangle

Then each base angle = 45°, then

3x = 45 ( divide both sides by 3 )

x = 15

and

y + 7 = 45 ( subtract 7 from both sides )

y = 38
