Why was Cas9 unsuccessful in killing HIV?

This was unsuccessful in killing HIV, because HIV is a disease that is spread fast, and can go away but still be there. There was no way that they could tell if it was 100% gone, because of the HIV levels can go to normal but still have HIV.
