Explanation:

from the two x-intercept we can write the function as


a(x - 2)(x - ( - 3) ) = a(x - 2)(x + 3)

we still have one coefficent to determine from the y intercept


a(0 - 2)(0 + 3) = - 6 \\ a( - 2)(3) = - 6 \\ a = 1
