Using the distance formula,

\sqrt{(3x-x)^(2)+(x-1-(x+2))^(2)}=5 \\ \\ \sqrt{(2x)^(2)+3^(2)}=5 \\ \\ \sqrt{4x^(2)+9}=5 \\ \\ 4x^(2)+9=25 \\ \\ 4x^(2)=16 \\ \\ x^(2)=4 \\ \\ x=\boxed{\pm 2}

Determine the value of x, given: A: (x, x+2) and B: (3x, x - 1), And the length of-example-1
