x = 5

Explanation:

You first have to multiply 3 by x and 2, and you would get 3x and 6. 3(x + 2)=3x +6

Then you have to move the 6 to the other side and it will become negative. 3x= -6 +21

Then you subtract 21-6 to get 15. 3x = 15

Then you are left with 3x = 15.

Divide 3 from both sides and you get x =5.
