Explanation:

2 numbers multiplied to make -10 and sum up to +3 will be :

5 and -2

Now we factorize by splitting +3 into +5 and -2 :

2x²- 2x + 5x -5 = 0

2x(x-1) + 5(x-1) = 0

(2x+5)(x-1) = 0

Either x-1 = 0 Or 2x+5 = 0

x = 1 2x = -5

x = -5/2
