11x^2 - 16x +4

Explanation:

In order to simplify, add like terms

(8x^2-7x+2)+(3x^2-9x-6)

8x^2 + 3x^2 = 11x^2

-7x + -9x = -16x

-6 + 2 = 4

now the equation is 11x^2 - 16x +4
