(3x-2)/(x+1) ( cross- multiply )

12(3x - 2) = 32(x + 1) ← distribute parenthesis on both sides

36x - 24 = 32x + 32 ( subtract 32x from both sides )

4x - 24 = 32 ( add 24 to both sides )

4x = 56 ( divide both sides by 4 )

x = 14
