What were the Europeans main motives for exploration?

Answer: Economy, religion

Explanation: When europeans traveled to and explored America they wanted an improved economy and a larger one. This way they could have access to more resources, and better trading exportations. Europeans also felt the need to spread their religion as much as they possibly could. They believed that everyone should adapt to their religion.

They wanted to improve their economy for instance by acquiring more spices, gold, and better and faster trading routes. Also they really believed in the need to spread their religion, Christianity.
