I have no idea how to do these two can someone help!!

1) A store bycycle costs $3000 to operate. The store pays an average of ​$35 per bike. The average selling price of each bicycle is ​$75. How many bicycles must the store sell each month to break​ even?

2) An investor invested a total of ​$2900 in two mutual funds. One fund earned a ​%7 profit while the other earned a ​%3 profit. If the​ investor's total profit was ​$​, how much was invested in each mutual​ fund?

operate cost= cost per bike to sell - cost per bike to pay

3000= x(75-35)

To find the number of bikes that must be sold to break even, solve for x in the equation.

3000=40x

x=75

They would need to sell a total of 75 bikes. There isn't enough information on the number of bikes that need to be sold in a month but just need to sell 75 before breaking even.

2. I can help you with this question if it gave their total profit. But you would set it up like this.

a= amount invested in mutual fund one

b= amount invested in mutual fund two

a+b= 2900

0.07a x 0.03b= total profit

(you would solve for this system, but put in the total profit value)
