The computation is shown below:

a. Total sales is

= 550 clients × $150

= $82,500

Variable costs is

= 60% of sales

= 60% × $82,500

= $49,500

Now

Contribution margin is

= total sales - variable costs

= $82,500 - $49,500

= $33,000

and, Contribution margin per unit is

= contribution margin ÷ total units

= $33,000 ÷ 550

= $60

And,

Contribution margin ratio is

= contribution margin ÷ total sales

= $33,000 ÷ $82,500

= 40%
