When there is a in front of an expression in parentheses, change the sign of each term in the expression.
So it becomes 5 + 3.8 + 1.5
Now it’s just simple math....

Okay when subtracting 2 negatives the number will be come positive. Using this question ur new equation will be
5+3.8+1.5. You just type in your calculator and get your answer.
The answer is 10.3! Hope this helped!
